Recently, I have found myself with all of these ideas and thoughts that I wanted share. I post regularly on social media. But that was leaving me feeling like I wasn’t sharing all of my thought, just snippets. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good scroll session as much as the next person, but sometimes I want more!
The idea to start this came to me Christmas of 2018, yes, 2018! I sat on this for that long thinking things like; “I should create a blog!” to “No one wants to read my ramblings…” to “Do it, DO IT NOW!” to “What is the point?” Inner voices can be tricky to manage sometimes.
I read the book, “Girl, Wash Your Face” by Rachel Hollis a couple years ago. I read this book with what seems like the rest of the world. I am sure you have read the book or heard of it.
There is this quote in the book that stuck with me, “The definition of worship is ‘the feeling of expression or reverence for a deity’ Creating is the greatest expression of reverence I can think of because I can recognize that the desire to make something is a gift from God.” So, here I was with this desire to create something and I was letting my own negative voice stop me. When, I just stopped and thought, maybe this desire to create a blog was a gift from God, the more it became a thing I just had to do.
